Profile
Amir Reza Fazel and Shobeir Mousavi are the founders of Admun Design and Construction studio located in Iran. Amir Reza Fazel (Tehran, 1984) received master in architecture in 2012 from faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. Shobeir Mousavi (Tehran,1982) graduated from Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2006. They both started their professional activity in 2006 and worked for several well-known Iranian offices. Following this experience in 2010, they established their own studio in Tehran.
Since then, Admun Studio has designed a number of varying projects such as residential (villa, apartment), office, interior, restaurant and pavilion. Furthermore, they have participated in the construction of their projects especially the ones with an irregular construction method, where the architects were directly involved in the construction process at the project’s site.
Admun’s practice philosophy is significantly based on the study of the rich cultural heritage and traditional architecture of Iran and an attempt to reconceptualise vernacular precedents to create a unique contemporary architecture, using local material in novel ways to bridge between old and new, considering climate issues as a design principle and addressing environmental needs of each project.
