Alkhemist Architects is an architecture studio founded by Kraipol jayanetra in 2009. The studio is specialized in applying strategic and scenario thinking as well as knowledge in visual literacy as an analytical tools to deliver an efficient design solution. The studio believes in providing a design service which will embrace the vibrant energy in contemporary cosmopolitan culture. In order to execute this mission, a lateral connection and corroboration among various discipline are always engaged in the studio’s design solution. The studio also tries to maintain their office as a small laboratory where every employee will be fully engage in the design process in a non hierarchical way in order to produce each specific surprising design solution rather than a pre manufactured design thinking.
With commitment to both critical and creative thinking in bringing up a high integrity in design solution, Alkhemist Architects has been working to delivered both strategy and artifacts in various scales and types raging from one bedroom studio renovation to four hundred seat auditorium or from a small installation to a proposal for a mixed use television studio with office space. Alkhemist Architects are always interested in applying our strength to manage and provide a creative design which will pay a contribution to our Cosmopolitan culture.
Prior to founding Alkhemist Architects, Kraipol Jayanetra has spent a decade of experience in the design culture in both industry as well as academic. He had spend almost a decade of his life in the United States absorbing American Pop culture and their consuming culture. Before his return to Thailand, he chose to enroll to MR+D, a non traditional architectural master program at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) where he acquired an experience in integrating a business strategical approach as a tool in forming design decision. At SCI-Arc, he was trained under an influenced of Jeffrey Inaba, a formal principal of a prestigious think tank unit called AMO. Upon his return to Thailand he chose to work with award winning design office, NagaConcepts, in Phuket. He had opportunities to supervise and design many residential projects which intend to serve Cosmopolitan demand from many foreign investors. He also had a chance to collaborate with Christian Liaigre, a high profile interior decorator, whom he has a first hand experience a global luxury.
