Under the brand name of Barroco, Xcel Stones offers high quality natural stone veneers.

We first involved ourselves with natural stone veneers a few years ago. The unique atmosphere and look that can both be established through using natural stone veneers made us very enthusiastic. We began to incorporate this immediately, and set off to explore the many possibilities behind natural stone veneer.

Natural stone veneers are comprised of natural stone, so quality and colour differences might occur. Selecting beautiful natural stone is the first step in the production process of natural stone veneers. However, great looking materials by themselves do not guarantee a great looking wall. When the veneer panels are not manufactured carefully enough, this will undeniably show itself in the end-result. Beyond that, the panel shape determines the ‘natural’ look of a wall. By this we mean the degree to which it appears that a wall is made up of little pieces of natural stone and the panels remain unrecognisable. The meticulousness of production and the panel shape are therefore important aspects of natural stone veneers.

Xcel Stones’ goal is to employ Barroco to deliver the most amazing experience and very best quality when it comes to natural stone veneers. This goal resulted in our patented panel shape: a double interlock panel. This exclusive panel shape can be used to create a Barroco wall where the actual panels are seamless and remain unrecognisable. Barroco natural stone veneers are made of the best available materials. A process of true craftsmanship, the production of Barroco natural stone veneers are carried out by the most experienced professionals and fully in accordance with the highest quality standards.

In order to guarantee Barroco’s quality we carry out extensive checks and inspections. In addition, we exclusively collaborate with suppliers and partners who share the same corporate philosophy. Together with our manufacturer, partners and suppliers, you can rest assured that Barroco stands symbol to the best quality when it comes to natural stone veneers.


Quality Assurance
A strict policy is maintained when it comes to quality assurance. We inspect and control quarries and production facilities in person. Production is solely done by an ISO9001 certified factory in accordance with strict quality demands. Next to that, the entire sawing process is regularly checked on saw blade deterioration and the actual precision of the sawing material. Controls and inspections are necessary to be able to guarantee consistent quality.

We are also one of the few suppliers to have our collection of natural stone veneers tested by TNO on frost resistance. Natural stone veneers by Barroco were found to be extremely frost resistant. Our stones are therefore an excellent product for outside use.
Processing Barroco natural stone veneers is done through collaborating with renowned adhesive manufacturers such as Schonox, Omnicol and Eurocol.
