Profile
Benoit Florençon is a French photographer living in Paris.
Originally from the South of France and having lived in Asia for 10 years, his vision is shaped both by the magnificent Provencal landscapes of his childhood and the chaotic construction of Asian metropolises like Shanghai and Hong Kong. Through his lens, he strives to capture an architect’s vision for spaces and volumes in a way that allows viewers to experience buildings and interiors through his photographs. The interplay between volume, light, texture and detail come to life with his sensitivity to the human aspect of each space – his extensive work in fashion photography, portraiture and with the music industry allows him to achieve a unique relationship between architectural spaces and their inhabitants.
Benoit has worked with numerous internationally renowned practices like UN Studio, Wilson Associates and Heatherwick Studio and equally with smaller firms to raise their profile through his compelling images. His work has been featured in publications worldwide and he is constantly involved with personal projects that explore the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit.
