Bombay Atelier is a Mumbai based furniture studio that works with a team of highly skilled craftsmen in the heart of bustling Mumbai city, India to create contemporary furniture with a touch of Indian tradition.
Each piece is handmade, creating a unique piece of furniture that aims to interpret a modern Indian design sensibility. We work with the best quality materials available, and all our timber furniture is crafted from rare, reclaimed and highly prized teakwood.
Each piece of furniture is made from scratch by hand by our artisans, with up to 12 craftsmen for certain pieces. Bombay Atelier celebrates the talent and handicrafts present throughout India and strives to create innovate, functional pieces that fit in with a modern lifestyle.
Bombay Atelier was started towards the end of 2012 by Farzin Adenwalla, a New Zealander and a graduate from the Victoria School of Architecture & Design.
