MORE ABOUT ERNST-MAY-GESELLSCHAFT E.V.
Profile
Founded in 2003, the Ernst May Society wants to present and preserve Ernst May's unique work, make it accessible to the public and thus enrich the architectural and urban planning discussion. In the Ernst-May-Haus, a terraced house in the middle of the Maysiedlung "Römerstadt", which has been restored in accordance with its historical heritage standards, it is presenting the urban and housing development of the New Frankfurt in an exemplary manner as part of a permanent exhibition. Due to its proximity to the building, the original furnishings allow direct insights into the style of the Neue Sachlichkeit, not least due to the fully preserved, well-known Frankfurt kitchen. Numerous special exhibitions and guided tours throughout the year bring Ernst May's legacy closer to more than just experts.
