MORE ABOUT GILES WILSON-COPP
Giles Wilson-Copp first studied Contemporary Art at Nottingham Trent, specialising in film and music. He then worked as a musician before deciding to pursue his original love of visual arts and design. Starting with a basic course in joinery, he then completed an apprenticeship with Martin Grierson, a master cabinet maker, which provided a strong foundation in craftsmanship. The final step was an HND in design and realisation at London Metropolitan University which enabled experimentation with new materials and exploration of the design process. Giles was recently awarded the 100% Futures winner at the exhibition 'New Designers' in July 2007.
