Gottlieb Paludan Architects Team
Profile
Gottlieb Paludan Architects was established in Copenhagen in 1901. Since then, the talents and expertise of generations of committed architects have all contributed to the company that we are today. We are proud of our history. It demonstrates continuity and quality, and we believe that it strengthens our capacity to develop beautiful architectural solutions that will stand the test of time.
From the outset, the firm attracted attention designing a number of major public buildings, e.g. the hospitals in Gentofte and Køge; since the 1940s, the energy sector has been a keystone in our client base. Our reputation in this sector was cemented with the Stigsnæsværket project and later reinforced with our work on the Amagerværket CHP plant and Asnæsværket Unit 5. Over the last half-century, designing for the utilities sector has been one of our distinguishing features, resulting in an extensive portfolio of striking structures. Over the last few decades, we have extended our expertise within the utilities sector and taken on a wider variety of projects. During the same period, we have also headed a number of commercial projects and provided client consultancy services.
In recent years, we have significantly strengthened and broadened our expertise with new staff appointments and the acquisition of Public Arkitekter in 2012. This has widened the firm’s traditional key areas – utilities, commercial premises and client consultancy services – to also include core skills in infrastructure, mobility and planning.
Today, Gottlieb Paludan Architects stands as a newer, larger, and stronger version of the architectural firm that was established more than a century ago.
