Guillaume Alan
Guillaume Alan was born and raised in the world of architecture and interior design, gravitating to his career was natural for Alan.
At just 22, he opened his first design studio in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris, in a space which he designed: very pure lines, concrete floor and wood panelling.
In 2011, a second studio is launched in Mayfair, London.
Among Alan’s earliest design memories are the ordered magnificence of the Louvre’s square courtyard and the tranquil simplicty of Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion in Spain.
That love of classical purity shines through his work, be it architecture, interior design and furniture design.
The eponymous studio has become well-known and sought after for its timeless elegance and serene interiors.
The leitmotif of Alan’s work is the passion for craftsmanship and detail. Obsessed with precision, every element and texture is celebrated.
His schemes are tactile and luxurious – using fine woods, such as oak or ash, in brushed finishes, natural marble, brass, natural linen, soft leather, wool, silk and bronze – and always focused on a bespoke palette.
Combining it with classicism, the designer brings minimalism to new heights, exploring sophistication by way of calm and restraint.
Guillaume Alan's work and projects are regularly featured in the major publications all over the globe.
