Architect from Barcelona and director of the office Josep Ferrando Architecture, he has combined design, construction and teaching from the beginning of his career as an architect. He has been a professor of projects since 1998 at different schools such as ETSAB (Department of Architectural Projects, Housing and City Course), La Salle Barcelona, University of Illinois Chicago, Instituto Europeo di Design (IED), Escola de Disseny i Art (Eina).
He has been invited to prestigious international schools, where he has directed workshops and semesters, such as Hochschule für Technik Zurich (HSZT), Escola da Cidade a Sao Paulo, Universidade Positivo (UNICENP) in Curitiba, UTDT in Buenos Aires. In 2014, he participated with the exhibition ‘In progress Matter & Light’ at the 14th Venice Architecture Biennial and was invited to exhibit at the prestigious Aedes Gallery in Berlin, which hosted the exhibition on his work ‘Matter and Light’. In 2016 he participated in the exhibition ‘Unfinished’ in the Spanish pavilion of the 15th Venice Architecture Biennial and was awarded the Golden Lion of the show, with his work of the ‘house between party walls’.
