k20 Architecture is an award winning design based studio founded in 2001 by Directors Theodore Kerlidis and Anthony Uahwatanasakul who set out with a commitment to produce excellence in design, sustainability and performance in delivering successful public projects. The k20 Architecture team today is dedicated to continuing that commitment. We are a vibrant and innovative practice, on a number of panels across Local, State and Federal government organisations. The practice is end user focused and we value the opinions and ideas of people using the facilities we design and deliver. As part of our process to continually innovate and deliver better public facilities we have a process which is known as ‘People in Our Architecture’, whereby we interview a number of the end users, post occupancy. Integrated within k20’s core DNA is sustainability and we aim is to see our projects inform future building construction not only in terms of design strategies and building material selection, but also in the public perception of environmentally conscious living, which shall have a wide-reaching and long lasting community impact. As community based specialists we are uniquely placed to deliver projects that are proven to be embraced by the community and this is a key factor in the success of our client’s projects.

Biography
Theodore Kerlidis
Theodore has been a Director of k20 Architecture since its inception in 2001, and has over 20 years’ experience in designing community buildings with a focus on design creativity and sustainability. He brings a high level management style to his projects whilst being diplomatic and proactive. Through his partnering approach he enables all parties to be included in the process of delivering key ideas and concepts.
Theodore has extensive community and government experience, and has led projects which have involved multiple stakeholders and extensive community consultation. Theodore offers creative, skilled, responsive and mature design outcomes in line with client briefs and budgets. He has lead projects through all phases from scoping & feasibility, business case modelling, design, documentation and coordination through to project completion.
Anthony Uahwatanasakul
Since its inception in 2001, Anthony Uahwatanasakul has been a director of k20 Architecture, providing design and professional expertise in the lead management of projects. Anthony has over 20 years’ experience with government, education, early year’s facilities, institutional, healthcare, sporting, residential and community projects. He provides innovative design solutions and professional expertise in project management and delivery. He has a proven track record delivering significant key projects in response to the client’s brief and providing successful architectural solutions to realise the client’s end vision.
Anthony is a Green Star Accredited Professional with the GBCA and is passionate about delivering economic, social, and environmentally sustainable design outcomes. He has extensive knowledge of a variety of project types and has experience in leading architectural projects from inception through design phases, to leading roles in project management & contract administration. Through his architectural career, Anthony has delivered numerous key projects on time and budget, to create facilities that will resonate throughout the community for years to come. Anthony is client focused and always provides a high level of management and personal interface. He directs projects with expertise and a strategic focus on the architectural outcome enhancing the end user’s experience.
