Since 1990 lichterloh has been dealing with Austrian and international design of the 20th Century, with a special emphasis on the period from the twenties to the seventies. The 700 m2 showrooms near the museum district allow for a generous presentation of the individual pieces. Well-established design is juxtaposed with products of unknown designers. What is important to us is the search for the “perfect” form, for the poetry in the design. Completed by the Design Tradition [www.design-tradition.at], Austrian design is categorized in the international context, catalogued and presented abroad.
As a member of Wien Products [www.wienproducts.at] lichterloh is participating in fairs in Europe, the US and Asia. Lichterloh also produces its own furniture line and is the exclusive distributor for various international design re-editions.
To develop a self-perception also means to sharpen ones senses for the beautiful. Both is possible with lichterloh.
