About Marc D. de Groot
MORE ABOUT MARC D. DE GROOT
Light, Product and space designed by Marc de Groot distinguish themselves by simplicity and quality, without putting the ergonomic aspects on a lower tray. Form, functionality and warm radiance are integrated in the designs. An equal balance between functionality and quality is one of the standards the designs have to meet and the principle 'forms follows function' is instantly recognizable. These characteristics make the work of Marc de Groot widely applicable and timeless. This also counts for the products under the umbrella of Design for People, the label which was founded by Marc.
During the process of designing and completion the demand is not only to look at the best form to achieve set goals. A lot of efforts are put in research to find the right materials to become able to achieve those goals as well.
