Meme is a dynamic creative partnership between designer Megan Hounslow and designer / architect Melanie Beynon. Based in Melbourne, the duo provides their clients with extensive experience, design capabilities and attention to detail to deliver beautiful, innovative, authentic and timeless architecture, interior design, installations and objects.
Biography
Melanie Beynon
Melanie launched her career in London with leading practice David Collins Studio, whose client list exposed her to high-profile restaurants, complex retail and luxury residential projects for the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Marco Pierre White, Giorgio Locatelli and Madonna, to quality food chain retailer EAT and up-market High street retailer Jaeger. In Melbourne, Melanie has worked with designer Chris Connell on numerous retail, hospitality and residential projects. Highlights include the Heide MOMA Café for Shannon Bennett, Cafe Vue, Carousel on Albert Park Lake and the award-winning Prince Wine Store.
Megan Hounslow
Megan launched her career working on high-profile hotel and public space design in hospitality, retail and multi-residential projects, including the Crown Casino complex and the award-winning Prince of Wales Hotel redevelopment. Over 15 years Megan has worked with respected designers and architects including Allan Powell, Paul Hecker, Andrew Parr of SJB and Elenberg Fraser, and was Interior Design Director of Tandem Design Studio. During Megan’s tenure at Tandem, the studio was nominated Best Emerging Interior Design Practice for the 2007 IDEA Awards. Megan is renowned for her design insights, conceptual presentation and her design capabilities, including master concept to implementation with leading clients Millennium Hilton, The Victorian Department of Education, The Just Group and The National Gallery of Victoria.
