About MICOMOLER
MORE ABOUT MICOMOLER
Profile
Micomoler is a design studio based in Madrid. It was created by four young architects and engineers that shared their interest on product design and small scale.
Their aim is to create beautiful contemporary objects with an eye on tradition and crafts.
Each project is a challenge for them. They explore the possibilities of different materials to get a closer approach to the inner essence of each object.
Wood, metal, leather, stone, natural fibers… They like the honesty and simplicity of raw materials, that provides that cozy feeling to all their designs.
They develop their own prototypes and self-produce the ones that work better.
The best way to aqcuire any of their products is by contacting them through e-mail.
They are:
Boris Miranzo (French) Industrial Engineer
Consuelo Duarte (Spanish) Architect
Monica Thurne (Swedish) Architect
Mariana Lerma (Spanish) Architect
Philosophy
Design is something quotidian. It stipulates the way we use the stuff that surrounds us. This is why we think that a good design is that one that is not only useful but also enjoyable. Design has the power of making our lifes as easy as pleasant, that is why we like to design objects which people can feel identified with.

Their designs have been featured in several blogs, online magazines, newspapers and paper magazines such as Elle, Elle Decor, On diseño, Neo2, Gioia, Dazed&Confused, TheMag and many more.
