About Oceanside Glasstile
SHOW LESS

Oceanside Glasstile®, a world leader in the design and production of glass tile, was founded in 1992 when four partners were united by a single passion - to capture the beauty and magnetism of art glass in a form ideal for architecture and interior design. Today, more than fifteen years later, with a team of over 500 employees, that fire burns even brighter, fueled by the enduring belief in the need for beauty in our everyday lives.
The desire to turn ordinary residential and commercial spaces into extraordinary living environments has led us to create an extensive collection of luxury tile products in a diverse range of mediums.

OCEANSIDE GLASSTILE PRODUCT LINES
The Oceanside Glasstile line of products features handcrafted artisan glass mosaics, field, decorative accents, and trim. Since the company's inception, we've been combining time-honored glass knowledge with a modern approach to design to craft truly stunning tile in small batches, casting and finishing by hand.
Respect for the environment is essential to our company philosophy. All Oceanside Glasstile is made from silica sand; an abundant natural resource with many colors using up to 86 percent recycled material. Annually, we use more than two million pounds of glass from curbside recycling programs, turning waste that would otherwise end up in landfills into expressive and sustainable design materials.
Our handcrafted process is a labor of love and allows us to create each order to our customer's specifications. Post-industrial glass and silica sand are combined with earth oxides to create colored glass formulas. The mixture is heated in gas-fired furnaces and once it becomes a molten consistency, skilled casters hand ladle the glass into iron molds. The tile, still connected in patty form, is then slowly cooled to room temperature in a conveyer oven called a lehr. Once cool, the tile patties are hand cut into individual pieces and the trimmings are recycled.
We offer over 40 colors and three finishes: Iridescent, Non-Iridescent, and Matte in all of our glass tile lines. Many designers have used our products in award winning designs including luxury homes, upscale restaurants, world class resorts, commercial buildings, even cruise ships, all with stunning visual impact. Freeze/thaw resistant, Oceanside Glasstile is used in both outdoor and interior design applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. Our products are also ideal for submerged applications such as pools, fountains and spas.
All Oceanside Glasstile materials are designed to work together in colors that are consistent across all product lines. You can easily combine liners, decos, and trim from one line with mosaics or field tile from another. The entire Oceanside Glasstile product family integrates to allow unlimited possibilities.
Currently, we offer eight lines as part of Oceanside Glasstile: Tessera®, Facets®, Elevations®, Casa California®, Terrain®, Haiku® and Geologie® . Each line embraces the glass medium in a different way.
Tessera mosaics are hand cast in over forty shimmering iridescent and non-iridescent colors plus stunning blends and patterns, which can also be customized according to customer preference. Available in four different sizes, Tessera mosaics can be used to produce a variety of field patterns, and border designs as well as stunning solid fields of handcrafted glass tile.
Facets is a sparkling collection of intricately detailed borders and field tile patterns featuring gem-like mini mosaics combined with the Tessera tile in varying formats. All Facets borders and field tile patterns are made-to-order in a choice of over 40 colors from the company's Tessera palette.
Elevations takes design to a new dimension with its clean lines and modern aesthetics. From the bold arches of Extrados to six modulating 10-inches wide field sizes to geometric liners, Elevations makes a strong architectural statement.
Casa California reflects the gracious spirit and warmth of California's Mediterranean design, creating a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The line offers larger dimensional designs of translucent and iridescent colors that can be used in almost any tile application. Casa California also includes complementary accents with decos and liners that are characterized by ocean motifs.
Terrain decos and liners, influenced by Art Deco design, feature abstracted nature motifs resembling stylized water, foliage and geological patterns. The varying surface textures highlight the beauty and translucence of handmade glass and offer a striking complement to other natural design materials such as stone, wood, metal, porcelain, and ceramic tile.
Haiku offers rich, woven designs inspired by nature's textures. Its watery translucence adds depth and elemental richness to a subdued color palette. Both Field and Decorative tiles use a 5-inch modular format.
Geologie unites the gem-like luminosity of glass with the earthy texture of slate in a stunning mosaic tile collection offering endless design possibilities. This enables designers to create signature mosaics with a variety of patterns and custom blend options.
