PROFILE
Pereira Miguel Arquitectos (www.pm-arq.com) is an architectural Lisbon based office founded in 2005 that develops a sustained practice in the field of Architecture, Planning, Design, and 3D architectural research. Its portfolio includes projects of various scales and programs, which have varied from single family to multifamily housing through the Interior design, Commercial Spaces, Logistics, Tourism and Rehabilitation.
The STUDIO has been a finalist or winner in several national and international competitions where we highlight:
Car Park system lingoPark for VOYAGER03, international itinerant exhibition organized by Experimentadesign
Honoroble Mention at portuguese architectural competition PRÉMIO TEKTÓNICA | VELOCIDADE '04
2006, Selected for second phase at international competition “Quartierplanung Triangel, Competition for Parpan, Switzerland”.
2007, PM-ARQ selected for the top10 of portuguese architects under 40, by international web site www.newitalianblood.com.
2008, First prize at international architecture competition ColorsDesigner promoted by Benetton Group (703 design entries), leading the studio to design a flagshipstore in Russia.
2009, Design contract for 3 Sisley flagship stores in Milan, Florence and Rome.
2011, Selected project, best portuguese team (top 10 in 218 proposals), at international competition “Cordoba Architects House Competition”, Spain.
2013, L20 project finalist at the National Wood Prize Award "Prémio Nacional de Arquitectura em Madeira" 2013.
The studio has also been the target of numerous national and international publications as well as shown in exhibitions, conferences and television programs. Within these we highlight:
Project “Casa Monte na Comporta”, selected by for the A10 (dutch architecture magazine) Yearbook 09/10, as one of the 20 most important projects in Europe on that year.
Exhibition Opening Soon at Milan Triennale , Italy, as the winner of Combispace, January and February 2009.
Seminar “The Future of Retail”, promoted by Fabrica at ARS Electrónica, Linz, Austria, 2009.
Juror in several national and international competitions where we highlight: architecture competition “designing in teheran” promoted by Benetton, with more than two thousand entries, 2009; National Municipal Prizes at Almada and Odivelas, 2009 and 2012.
Several workshops e conferences at ESAD in Matosinhos, Universidade da Covilhã, Universidade Lusíada, Ordem dos Arquitectos, Trienal de Lisboa.
Design of a chair for Lucciano Benetton entitled “United Colors for Benetton”, as part of the event “Duets – Art on Chairs” promoted by the Porto University and the Municipality of Paredes, with the high sponsor of the Portuguese Presidency and the UNHCR - The UN Refugee Agency, 2012.
Project “L20” in Exhibition and catalogue at the Portuguese National Assembly, October 2013.
Project “First Café” published in Food Shop Interior, by Silvia Cirabolini, 2013.
