Philipp Günther
Philipp Günther founded his Hamburg-based design studio for product and industrial design in 2008. Since then he works in various fields of design ranging from furniture and accessories to lifestyle products, cosmetics, flacons, consumer electronics and more. He creates products for companies like Schönbuch, Müller Möbelwerkstätten, Nomos Glashütte, Jette Joop, Fielmann, Red Bull and others. Philipp Günther studied industrial design at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and architecture at BTU Cottbus. After his studies he worked for renowned design agencies in Berlin and Hamburg and gained extensive experience in the architectural and design environment.
Philipp Günthers design approach is to break habits, show unusual ways, and surprise with clear and simple ideas. His goal is to design useful and innovative products that are convincing by their clarity, functionality and aesthetic quality. To this end, he explores the complex relationship between the product, its user, and the particular environment.
