About Philips Lumiblade
OLED technology at Philips is called Lumiblade (www.lumiblade-experience.com). Research, development and production of this new light source is located at the Philips site in Aachen (Germany).
Although a relatively young light source Lumiblade OLEDs can already be found in different light installations as well as in luminieres, e.g. the “O’Leaf” series by Modular Lighting instruments. OLEDs have proven that they can compete on the lighting market, however at the current state they are mostly used for ambient and decorative lighting purposes. Lumiblade OLEDs satisfy with their non-blurring high quality, full surface light output as well as with their thinness. OLEDs can be used as a material which emits natural light and can be integrated into new lighting applications, unknown to lighting purposes before.
