Born in 2012 due to the vision and firm determination of Davide Ravaglioli, CEO and Head of Style / Design department, RaDa offers today to the market a complete assortment of fabrics and microfibers, distincted by two fundamental qualities:
• Sensoriality and emotional appeal, on all the fabrics in collection and on all the microfibers;
• High quality level and high technology of raw materials and of production processes.
Today, materials research and collections preparation is highly oriented to Circular Economy.
A third element of distinction, that allowed RaDa to position as a company of reference , is the real possibility to realize materials “on demand”, working with the customers on all the production steps, from project to final fabric or microfiber.
The newborn at RaDa is REVIVA - From Plastic to Textile -
REVIVA is a new textile range of fabrics created from the recycling of post-consumer PET bottles, and further recyclable at the end of its usage. REVIVA is 100% made in Italy, locally, with a one of a kind production process, already become a benchmark.
Through a mechanical process, the plastic bottles are transformed into polymers and then into recycled PET yarn, without the use of chemicals that could be dangerous for the environment.
The use of recycled polyester, which requires fewer processing steps, means that we use less energy and water during the production process, resulting in a considerable reduction of carbon emissions.
The yarn that composes REVIVA is fully traceable: apart from institutional certifications (Global Recycled Standard, Oekotex Class 1 - Annex 6) it contains an inside marker put during the spinning process, that allows to detect the Reviva yarn 'till the finished garment.
Reviva is also Flame Retardant worldwide certified.
