THE COMPANY
The Riflessi srl company with the Riflessi brand was born in Ortona, Abruzzo in September 1990. This important reality in the furniture and design sector records a turnover of approximately 16.5 million euros (turnover of the stores included), accompanied by a constant growth, since its foundation, with a further acceleration in the last 3 years which have seen an average annual increase of 25%.
The rapid growth in turnover is accompanied by excellent margins, made possible by the careful optimization of management costs, which led the company to reach an EBITDA of 14.6% in the 2018 financial statements. In addition to an excellent profitability, Riflessi has been characterized from the beginning by a careful and prudent management of the company with continuous investments aimed at the growth of the company itself with a particular consideration of the human assets that are part of the Riflessi network.
The company, with a headquarters of 11,000 square meters in Ortona (Chieti), a commercial showroom in Milan and 6 other single-brand stores in Italy, now has 34 direct employees as well as important satellite activities both in the Abruzzo area and in the excellent furniture districts in Italy.
THE DISTRIBUTION
The expansion of the company in Italy and abroad results from a precise strategy that focuses on two main levers: the retail development and the definition of important partnership agreements to ensure widespread distribution on international markets. To date, in Italy, Riflessi counts 7 single-brand stores opened since 2011 in important cities such as: Naples, Milan, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Bergamo, Bari and Turin. The opening of a single-brand store represents for the company a fundamental piece in the commercial strategy which plans to add direct stores to its wholesale distribution that convey the values, image, culture and philosophy of the Riflessi brand, establishing a direct relationship with the customer.
The goal is to make the direct presence on the Italian territory increasingly incisive, which still accounts for 75% of Riflessi's turnover and which offers considerable margins for expansion.
As for the foreign market, which in 2019 marked an increase of 50% in sales compared to 2017, the gradual approach through the search for partners, whether they are distributors or major chain stores, has allowed the company to preside over several territories.
In recent years, Riflessi has intensified its relations with London, through the opening of a direct distribution channel. The increase also involved other European countries including France which a door in Nice and Germany where the company atic activities with local partneho have which allowed Riflessi to be present in various stores in Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne. Interesting business opportunities have come from the Eastern Europe markets - Poland and Ukraine - and from Russia where Riflessi has already been present for more than three years and whose expansion required the strengthening of the company staff by hiring a dedicated account.
Russia, especially in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, represents a key market for Riflessi, as does the Middle East, home to important business for the company that distributes its products in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia through a local partner.
The expansion strategy in China was consolidated in 2019 (where Riflessi is present with numerous corners in prestigious multi-brand stores) with the participation in the China International Furniture Fair in Shanghai, one of the most important fairs worldwide dedicated to furniture, thanks to the partnership with the furniture brand Keyima.
During 2020, thanks to important local partnerships, Riflessi started expanding its market in Israel, Puerto Rico and Ukraine.
THE RIFLESSI PRODUCT
The Riflessi production is aimed at a high-end target who knows how to appreciate a range of rigorously Made in Italy products studied in detail with an ample range of customization possibilities, able to combine craftsmanship and design.
The Riflessi Research and Development Center is the engine of the entire collection development process: all the furnishings are conceived and designed here, and functional solutions are subject to thorough research. The entire production is carried out in the company plants in Italy and is subjected to rigorous controls and severe assessments before being put on the market.
The company adopts a holistic vision of its production. Riflessi lives its territory intensely and expresses love for its roots with concrete gestures: from the recovery and enhancement of ancient craft techniques to the "zero kilometer" philosophy, implemented by selecting a network of specialized local suppliers.
Riflessi’s signature is a contemporary style, characterized by clean and essential lines, “softened” by delicate decorative interventions made with particular processing techniques, such as screen printing, hammering and casting.
RIFLESSI AND THE ITALIAN HERITAGE
The company has always paid great attention to the environment, the enhancement of the territory, respect for people and the selection of rigorously Made in Italy suppliers. Riflessi has made Italianness its winning weapon, considering the Italian cultural heritage a precious treasure. Over the years, Riflessi has contributed to the promotion of some of the most beautiful places in the country such as the Royal Palace of Caserta and has started collaborations with various artists called to interpret some of its best sellers, one of all the Farfalle mirrors. The various artists who
interpreted some of the brand’s best sellers, like the Farfalle mirror. The artworks were then donated to Vidas, the Association for free assistance to the terminally ill, and subsequently auctioned. The proceeds contributed to the construction of the Pediatric Relief House in Vidas. In 2018 and in 2020, Riflessi's commitment translated into concrete support for the Onlus Anffas of Ortona (National Association of Families of People with Intellectual and / or Relational Disabilities) by participating with financial support in the project "La Casa in Centro”, an initiative aimed at young adults with disabilities who attend the socio-occupational center of Anffas Ortona.
The strong link with places of culture and the great importance attributed to the education and training of young people are fundamental for the company: Riflessi in 2019 presented the "Nature Invaders" seminar developed in collaboration with the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with the involvement of 80 third-year students of the degree course in Industrial Design - Product Design Atelier chaired by prof. Carlo Martino.
RIFLESSI AND SUSTAINABILITY
Riflessi combines the idea of well-being and sustainability that starts from inside the homes and involves the environment that surrounds them. An environment to which Riflessi looks with great attention, starting from the selection of the highest quality materials, such as honeycomb wood, glass and aluminum, to the choice of paints (all strictly water-based).
Aluminum, a completely recyclable material, is used both as an exhibition component in various furnishings and for the mechanisms and guides of tables and consoles, designed within the company and manufactured by suppliers in the area, which are able to recover and reintroduce processing waste into the production cycle.
RIFLESSI AND THE COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES
The quality and workmanship underlying the Riflessi collection are at the center of a careful training and information activity that the company offers to its partners and the final consumer.

This translates into a thorough selection of outlets and a growth in selected ones that the company seeks to encourage also through punctual operations. With its digital content and marketing proposals, Riflessi aims to involve its retailers and make them active and proactive in engaging initiatives for their territory, also through collaboration with young designers. In addition, the huge investments in communication have allowed the company to strengthen its presence on all available channels, printed and digital, in order to provide a perfect showcase for the final consumer.
