SEEBALD. Studio for architecture and design was founded in 2014 by the architect Christoph Seebald, is based in Stuttgart, Germany. Architecture, interior design and product design are all pursued in close collaboration with the client, enriching the creative process. The result is a bespoke response, reflecting and promoting the identity of the customer.
The studio is solution orientated; free of formal constraints, solutions which evolve constantly, in each case offering something unique. The combination of an interdisciplinary working methods and distinct attention to detail contribute towards a holistic approach to architecture.
Christoph Seebald
In 2014 Christoph Seebald founded SEEBALD. Studio für Architektur & Gestaltung in Stuttgart. Christoph Seebald was born in 1971 in Pirmasens. Before studying architecture at the University of Stuttgart, he completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman. Already during his studies, 1997, he co-founded seebald muschelkautz, Studio für Architektur und Design and gained first hands-on experience.
A study visit to Japan at the University of Tokyo followed. After gaining his diploma in 2001 with Professor Podrecca at the University of Stuttgart, he first started as an employee at Bottega + Ehrhardt Architekten in Stuttgart and became a partner in 2007. In 2008 he became a proprietor at Bottega + Ehrhardt Architekten.
Since 2009, Christoph Seebald has been a lecturer in building construction and design at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart and had a visiting professorship at the University of Oregon in 2010. Since 2010, he has been involved in organizing the Pecha Kutcha events, an interdisciplinary, entertaining presentation format in Stuttgart.
