MORE ABOUT SNOW. ARCHITECTURE
SNOW is named after the points of the compass, South -North -East -West, which are at the beginning of each task. At the beginning of every creative process, the object is limited to its orientation to the sun and the cardinal directions. Each cardinal direction has its own spiritual effectiveness, which is incorporated into the creative process.
SNOW ARCHITEKTUR emerged out of a three-person student collective in 2012 that was always driven by promoting the strengths of the individual characters. A lot has happened since then: two of the founding members have started their own businesses in the fields of photography and visualization, and Bmst Ing. Thomas Krämer, BSc has further expanded S.N.O.W. Planungs und Projektmanagement GmbH.Meanwhile, the SNOW family consists of 31 employees working in two locations, Innsbruck and Carinthia. The average age of the young team is just about29 years. Despite many changes and the constant growth, the ideals of the student collective have not been lost. Open communication with room for personal development of the individual team members, learning from each other and expanding horizons together are the cornerstones of the unmistakable SNOW spirit.
Under these conditions, with a lot of creativity and know-how, SNOW ARCHITEKTUR creates holistic, customized solutions for a wide variety of building projects. The team supervises, plans and realizes a wide range of projects. This includes, for example, new buildings and additions to existing buildings as well as gastronomy buildings and projects in the hotel and residential sector -from architecture and interior design to construction management.
The focus lies on creating individual architecture that is in harmony with its surroundings, that is realized in a way that conserves as many resources as possible, and that showcases the respective craft. SNOW ARCHITEKTUR's motivation is to create unique spaces for individual people, which at the same time reflect their own architectural values and aspirations to the outside world. Therefore, close cooperation with the client throughout the entire design process is particularly important to the young architects.
THOMAS KRÄMER, CEO, Bmst. Ing. Bsc.
" To me, architecture means emotion in every sense of the word. Feeling spaces, being touched by them and thereby feeling architecture is what matters to me.''
As a native of Upper Austria, he is deeply rooted in his love for craftsmanship and wood as a building material. Influenced by his family's professional background, he found his way to the College of Building Technology for Timber Construction in Hallein and later to jobs in carpentry, joinery, installation and timber construction before finally studying architecture at the University of Innsbruck. Already during his studies,he founded the architecture office with his fellow students and only two years later he also graduated as a master building.
