Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects is compromised of an experienced team of architects and designers working together in a collaborative studio environment towards the success of each project.
Biography
Michael Lomont
M. Architecture, The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
Michael Lomont initially joined Stelle Architects in 1994 having worked throughout the Washington D.C. area. After a leave of absence where he continued as a sole practitioner, he returned in 2000 to become an integral part in building the firm. He became a partner in 2012. With a strong background in design as well as construction, Michael is involved in all aspects of the practice, currently heading SLR Associated Building Services, the construction subsidiary of Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects.
In addition to construction management, Michael continues to be an essential part of the day to day operations of the firm as a partner in charge and designer. He has completed a number of successful projects ranging from residential and commercial to multiple-housing complexes.
Michael currently resides with his family in Sagaponac. He is a strong advocate for preservation supporting the Peconic Land Trust.
Viola Rouhani

Viola Rouhani joined Stelle Architects in 2004 and became a partner in 2012. Viola has 18 years of design experience ranging from residential, theater, institutional, to health care.
Before joining the firm Viola worked in San Francisco, where she started her career, and New York City. She brings experience as a single practitioner and a member of large architectural teams. Geared towards collaboration with the client and consultants alike, Viola seeks make each project an individual expression tailored to each site. Following the firm’s philosophy of creating architecture that speaks to the environment, she is a strong advocate of sustainability and showcasing the local surroundings.
As a partner, Violas continues to act as a designer and partner in charge. She is also involved in the business end of the practice including marketing. Since joining the firm, Viola has headed a number of award winning projects.
Viola currently serves on the executive committee of the AIA peconic Chapter. She lives with her family in Southampton, and enjoys all the local aspects of the region.

Frederick Stelle is the founding partner of Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects. He has 30 years of design experience in institutional and residential projects that range from educational campuses, arts facilities, administrative centers, private and multifamily residences.
Mr. Stelle began his career in the office of Edward Larrabee Barnes where he directed the renovation of the Yale University Old Campus dormitories. In 1976 Mr. Stelle founded his oponymously named office in Manhattan that later became the firm Frederick Stelle/Richard Gluckman Architects. In 1985 he opened Stelle Architects on the east end of Long Island. Mr. Stelle shares the design and administrative responsibilities with his partners and oversees new business development. He is licensed in New York, Connecticut and Florida, holds an NCARB certificate and is a member of the Peconic Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Since 2010 he has served on the advisory board of the Syracuse University School of Architecture where he has been a visiting critic.
A long time conservationist, Mr. Stelle is a trustee of the Long Island Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. An avid outdoor person he is a sailor and a pilot and enjoys the opportunities available from living by the water.
