Guinter Parschalk, lighting designer, architect
Profile
Guinter Parschalk is an architect, post-graduated in industrial design in Hochschule für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung, Linz, Austria. He worked as designer in Siemens A.G. and in Schlagheck & Schultes Design, Munich, Germany, taking part in a lot of exhibitions in Brazil and other countries.
His luminaire “Balão” have been exhibited in Milan, and selected and reviewed by the “The International Design Yearbook”, as well as many of his jobs published on national and international books and magazines.
Guinter is the technician coordinator of The International Lighting Design Seminary, São Paulo, Brazil, since 1997. Besides, he was an invited teacher to Commercial Architecture post-graduation course in UNISINOS (Vale dos Sinos University) and UNOPAR (North of Paraná University).
As technician manager of Studioix, an office based in São Paulo specialized in lighting design and visual perception, he realized many projects not only in Brazil, but also in Argentina, Mexico, USA, Israel, Germany, Austria, and Portugal.
His skills range over many fields, from hotels to enterprise industries, shopping centres, offices, hospitals, museums, jewellery stores, restaurants, bank agencies, urban areas, and private houses. The firm is able to supply clients with devices related directly and indirectly to the environment comfort, including consulting activity on materials, colours, treatments of surfaces, and all that where is possible the incidence of natural light, and the determination of the photometric, essential indices for the thermal comfort of the space and the health of the users as well.
