James Lowe and Chris Romer-Lee
Profile
Studio Octopi is an award-winning practice which has been creating inventive architecture and interiors since 2003. Our architecture is centred on place and people. We are committed to delivering projects with intelligent responses to the social, cultural and historic context of a given location.
The practice works across many sectors, including arts, schools, leisure, commercial and private residential. Working on a broad spectrum of projects provides a fertile hub of collaboration and experimentation which informs each and every project. The practice’s work and thinking has been widely published in the UK and global press.
In 2014, the directors established Thames Baths Community Interest Company to deliver London’s first floating lido since 1875. The proposals have gone on to be published globally and are at the forefront of thinking for the future use of the River Thames in London.
