Emanuela Pulvirenti
Profile
Emanuela Pulvirenti was born in Palermo in 1974. After graduating in Architecture in 1998 with a thesis about lighting design for historical cities, she attended a Master in Light Design at Brera Academy, Milan, in 1999.
In 2001 she founded Triskeles Studio Associato, mainly specialising in light design (interior and exterior lighting and product design) and often collaborating with Piero Castiglioni.
In 2004 Emanuela obtained a PhD in Environmental Technical Physics with a research about urban lighting.
Between 2002 and 2008 she was lighting consultant for Sonepar S.p.A.
Between 2004 and 2006 Emanuela was teacher of Light Design at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), Milan. Between 2007 and 2008 she's professor of Theatrical Light Design at Catania Art Academy.
She designed lamps for Castaldi Illuminazione and Metalspot.
She has also taught at some Masters and workshops (Brera Academy of Milan, University La Sapienza of Rome, Targetti Lighting Academy) and Lighting Design Courses in Italy and publishes articles in national and international specialized press like, for instance, Luce e Design (european and chinese editions), Flare, Luce.
