Talli Architecture and Design
Profile
The office was established in 1995 by architects Minna Lukander (b. 1965), Pia Ilonen (b. 1957), and interior designer Martti Lukander (b. 1964). The office´s first breakthrough project was the adaptation and restoration of the 1930s´ functionalist building "Lasipalatsi" in the heart of Helsinki. The project was carried out between 1995-1998, as a film and media centre. The office has carried out renovations and alterations of many high-profile public buildings, e.g. Alvar Aalto's Finlandia Hall.
Today Talli, a team of 15 architects and designers, provide a wide range of know-how on architecture and interiors, furniture and graphic design, ideas to construction nitty-gritty. During the last ten years a particular focus has been given to the generation of new ideas for the housing market, and in particular research and development of our raw-space concept, which enables lower-cost building with more choices for the user.
