Product description
Concept
“The inspiration for the design comes from Icelandic houses, where not only the roofs but also the façades are covered by corrugated sheet metal. That got me thinking of how to introduce that feature, that feeling, into an interior space,” says Sebton. Scala, Abstracta’s hugely popular sound-absorber range, has evolved, including its XL version, into an upscale variant of the original model, giving an interesting impression. Scala XL is perfect for vertical mounting on a wall. Available in convex and concave forms, 2300 mm or 1600 mm tall. The core of the sound absorber is made partially from recycled polyester recovered from PET bottles. The surface of the sound absorber is customisable, available in a wide variety of fabrics and colours.
