CRESO
Dining tables from Acerbis, Designed by Lella Vignelli, Massimo Vignelli
Product description
A timeless classic, created by one of the masters of contemporary design and graphics, evolves with new tactile pairings.
With the unique form of a monolithic silhouette, Creso is supported by a single pedestal, thus transforming a table into the kind of shape that was the basis of Lella and Massimo Vignelli’s vision. Bolstered by a more faithful interpretation of Vignelli’s concept, the new Creso experiments with a use of materials that emphasises the strength of its design.
Structure
The cylindrical base (Ø 40 and Ø 50 cm) is made with a steel tube, painted in a gun-metal grey or orbital bronze finish, or clad with
a brass-plated steel foil. Another variation is the single-material version in matte Travertine, made from a single block. An internal iron column supports the weight of the entire structure without negatively impacting the marble cladding.
A capital, painted in micaceous grey, completes the structure of the base. The transparent glass surfaces are attached to the base with stainless steel disks that, given the transparency, become distinguishing features. The marble surfaces are attached via metal discs painted micaceous grey.
Top
The surfaces are available in Ø130, Ø160 and Ø180 in the following finishes:
_ transparent glass, 15 mm thick;
_ white arabesque marble, black Marquinia, red Levanto, green Alpi, 20 mm thick; marbles with polyester glossy finishes are available upon request;
_ matt Travertine, 20 mm thick, stone with a natural polished finish (excluding table with Ø180 top).
Dimensions Ø130 H72 B40; Ø160 H72 B40; Ø180 H72 B50.

Concept
A great classic, designed by one of the masters of design and contemporary graphics, evolves with new combinations of current materials. As the base covered in precious warm shiny brass, in elegant contrast of materials and colour with white arabescato marble top, carefully selected in quarry and finely worked. Or the new finish “Fresco”, made manually by mixing cement paste, inert materials such as sand, marble dust, earths and special resins that allow processing “fresco on fresco” same as frescos and able to show stripes, spots, variegation, slight holes: all these are marks of the artist’s hand and exalt the beauty of always different finishes, never repetitive.
