ACO bathroom drains are designed as a practical modular system: All plastic ACO floor drains and all Wal-Selecta ACO floor drains made of cast iron can be combined with different angled or top sections – optionally with or without thin bed flange, just as required.

The modular system is ideal for perfectly matching the functional solutions to individual installation conditions and applications. Floor drains are used in all private wet rooms and are as safe a means of drainage as they are efficient – when used in combination with suitable seals.

The issue of "preventive fire protection in the area of floor drains" is currently garnering a lot of interest. State building codes stipulate a corresponding fire protection class for ceilings and floors, especially for installations in buildings of a special type and utilisation, such as hotels, hospitals, senior citizens' homes or schools. The Wal-Selecta range from ACO offers just the right solution for each application. ACO is the only system provider to have successfully tested its floor drains from both above and below. The test was performed in accordance with DIN 4102. Wal-Selecta floor drains with vertical drain sockets comply with fire protection classes R 30 to R 120 when used with the fire protection odour seals in conjunction with the fire protection cartridges. They even guarantee dual protection. Protection is guaranteed from both above and below in case of fire.

ACO floor drains also score points in terms of hygiene. The odour seal can be completely removed by lightly turning it and then pulling it out. This enables the pipes to be cleaned properly. Since there is no narrowing of the drains at any point at the inlet or outlet, this drain system provides the perfect opening for inspection works. Added to which, the floor-level installation of the drain socket ensures the complete drainage of the drain bodies, and foreign matter is flushed out more easily.
