Window types from air-lux
Product description
air-lux expands its product range with the new countersunk windows with a new, impressive opening function. The entire width can be opened, and the entire lowered window "sinks" into the floor. The advantage over a sliding element is that there is no need for a fixed element in front of which the slide can be pushed.
Concept
air-lux expands its product range with the new countersunk windows with a new, impressive opening function. The entire width can be opened, and the entire lowered window "sinks" into the floor. The advantage over a sliding element is that there is no need for a fixed element in front of which the slide can be pushed.
Completely retractable: 100 % leak-proof
The new lowered windows also convince with the unique air sealing system from air-lux. The circumferential, inflatable ring seals adapt to the moving sash element and close the gap between sash and fixed part perfectly. This guarantees 100% tightness against driving rain, wind and noise.
Up to 25 m² window area
Big is good - this also applies to the countersunk windows. The larger a countersunk window can be, the more impressive the effect is when it is open. The maximum window area is 25 m². There is no weight limit. Glass thicknesses of up to 60 mm can be used, whereby safety glass with bullet resistance is also possible.
Perfectly balanced
The lowered window stands on a stable supporting structure which is connected to a counterweight. The counterweight perfectly balances the countersunk window and can be moved silently up and down by means of an electric drive. In the event of a power failure, the lowering window can be closed manually from the technical room.
Convenient operation, maximum safety
The lowering windows are operated via a pushbutton with deadman control and visual monitoring of the movement. A fully automatic control is also possible on request, whereby safety is guaranteed here via radar or infrared. The air-lux countersunk windows are manufactured and installed in compliance with the machine guidelines. The personal protection is thus given at any time. This may be during the operation of the lowering windows, in the event of a power failure or in the event of a severe storm.
Technical room
As the countersunk window disappears completely into the floor, sufficient space is required below the glazing to place the countersunk window in the open state. This technical room, which also houses the control unit, motor, drive shaft and counterweight, must be accessible for maintenance work. The dimensioning of the technical room is determined and recorded by air-lux. Rainwater is collected by means of a concealed gutter and drained through a drainage opening.
