Concept
"Work.Frame" - The "workbench" for the bathroom
With "Work.Frame", Alape presents a new washplace with an industrial character. The coordinated interplay of black floor-standing frame and white washstand cover is complemented by many well thought-out details and practical elements: generous (storage) areas and a filigree yet minimalist design also leave plenty of scope for individual requirements. The easy-to-install wash basin is available in two design variants.
"Work.Frame" is a prime example of filigree and the associated demands. Developed in collaboration with sieger design, the washstand is both minimalist and precise in its design language. The exact and high-quality design was implemented down to the last detail: The dark panelling, which matches the matt black surface of the frame, conceals the siphon and corner valves. It precisely matches the outer shape of the trough and also the wall.
The symbiotic combination of glazed steel cover and frame stands for a modern and authentic implementation of an industrially inspired design. A second shelf made of grey safety glass offers additional functionality: towels and care utensils find their individual place here.
Work.Frame²⁰
"Work.Frame²⁰" is available in four different versions, with a uniform washbasin cover that is 20 millimetres high. The external dimensions of the series remain the same in all variants: 1000 millimetres (width) x 900 millimetres (height) x 525 millimetres (depth). The round bowl of "Work.Frame²⁰ " can be positioned either on the left or right. It has a diameter of 350 millimetres in the variant with stand fitting and 400 millimetres in the variant with wall fitting. The siphon and corner valves disappear elegantly - behind a matt black siphon cladding in a colour matching the frame.
Work.Frame¹⁰⁰
"Work.Frame¹⁰⁰" is available in the version with a stand fitting and with a 100-millimetre-high washbasin cover. The overall dimensions in height, width and depth are identical to those of "Work.Frame²⁰". The centrally positioned, large rectangular bowl has a large capacity and therefore offers a great deal of comfort.
Like "Work.Frame²⁰ ", "Work.Frame¹⁰⁰ " also has a second shelf in grey safety glass and a black siphon cover that conceals the technical components for water supply and drainage.
The standard chrome-plated overflow rosette in matt black or platinum matt is also available as an option for all versions of "Work.Frame²⁰" and "Work.Frame¹⁰⁰".
Simple installation rounds off the overall concept of both variants: The two rear struts deliberately end just above the floor to leave space for a tiled base that may be provided by the customer. The glazed steel cover is invisibly screwed to the steel frame and therefore does not need its own fixing holes in the wall.
The frame is aligned with the foot using a height adjuster. Thus, only two holes in the rear wall are sufficient to fix "Work.Frame" in a stable manner. The functional aspects of "Work.Frame" were therefore not only a design requirement, but also shape the entire product concept.
