What do we know about Karma? For many it is the great law of cause and effect. To get what one wants, one must represent and be worthy of such things. Known as Pali Kamma, an Indian religion and philosophy, Karma is “the random law of the universe whereby good or bad deeds determine the future mode of an individual's existence”. So how does it apply to design? How do we represent an ancient Eastern philosophy that talks about receiving what we have sown in the world? For Gino Carollo, it is an investigation into "who we are" and this, in today's fast-paced society, is performed through mirroring, or in his world, the mirror. Starting from different shapes and characteristics, Karma by Gino Carollo is a way of looking at the world we live in , at what we want to represent and at our existence as a function of this. From small to large, long to wide, circular or abstract,Karma pulls different things out of different shapes and sizes , finished to the highest standards. Depending on the size, there are different color combinations of the mirror: bronze and smoked, transparent and bronze, transparent and smoked. Karma is about understanding our actions, and in our Karma, it is about understanding ourselves even better.
