Concept
The world-famous Treehotel opened in 2010 in the village of Harads, near the Arctic Circle. For Treehotel, Tham & Videgård Architects created “The Mirrorcube”, camouflaged by mirrored walls that reflect the cube’s surroundings. The cube also inspired the lamp Eagle – an unfolded cube that takes the shape of a magnificent bird. Besides the iconic pendant lamps, Eagle has been developed into a ceiling and wall fixture.
Eagle was first presented at ateljé Lyktan’s exhibition in Milan during Salone del Mobile 2015.
