The idea to collaborate with the Zwiesel Glass School and the Selb Porcelain School originated from talks with Hans Wudy, the director of Zwiesel Glass School. They are the two last specialised schools in this field that pass on their extensive knowledge to the next generation – although Asian cut-price imports threaten to edge out the craft art steeped in tradition completely. It is precisely for this reason that we are glad to be able to introduce the first, joint collection from which we want to earn nothing – so that the schools can benefit all the more.
