The Kassette (cassette) design has been given an interesting contrast in its new, modern form in the present collection, which ingeniously brings out the reflections in the original design. Like a jewellery box, the small-patterned, even fields draw us inside in ever-shrinking squares within squares within squares without leaving the reality of the everyday. Kassette, designed by Otto Prutscher around 1905, is equally captivating with its pure simplicity and magical sophistication.
