Francesca Spanish | Chair
Chairs from Baleri Italia, Designed by Philippe Starck
Product description
The Francesca Spanish chair with armrests is named after a character from Ubik, a novel by Philip K. Dick which captured Starck’s imagination. At first sight, the extremely honest and rigorous design looks neat and stripped to its essentials to highlight the functional nature of the object, yet the backrest pushes forwards hooking itself onto the arms which in turn boldly curve down to become the legs with a gentle change of proportions. The simple clean lines become complex, the object slides into another dimension and takes on an expressive physical presence. Chair with armrests. Structure in steel tubing painted with epoxy powders, in metallic silver RAL 9006 (am) or matt black RAL 9005 (n). Seat in rigid polyurethane painted in black (n). Black rubber feet. Dimension: 51 x 49,5 x h 79 - seat h 46 cm
