Landi Inclusion bench
Benches from BURRI
Product description
The bench takes better account of the ergonomic needs of users, and is designed for easy rising as well as sitting upright. The armrests are rounded to provide comfortable support without pain. The seating surface and backrest are directly adjoining in order to provide greater stability for the torso musculature. There are no gaps for personal belongings to fall between – a design feature that is appreciated by elderly and mobility-impaired people alike.

Concept
The public space should be used and enjoyed by everyone. The Landi Inclusion line makes this possible.
Working alongside the ZHAW Research Group for Open Space Management, the Swiss Association for the Blind and the ‘Swiss Center for Barrier-Free Architecture’, BURRI has developed a range of outdoor furniture that consistently translates this concept of inclusion into reality.
A high-contrast colour choice, tactile features, smooth seating surfaces of different heights help to make public spaces accessible to people with mobility and visual disabilities.
BURRI is producing the Landi Inclusion line in close collaboration with a related social institution.
