X-TEND2
Metal meshes from Carl Stahl ARC
Product description
Concept
X-TEND2 by Carl Stahl is a standardized balustrade in-fill system, combining the value of stainless steel cable mesh X-TEND with the advantages of a series product, like:
good price-benefit-ratio, short delivery times and easy balustrade solution.
X-TEND2 is available in individual heights and is therefore suitable for balustrades according to different national building codes as well as adaptable for each balustrade project.
The length per frame is variable up to 4 metres, and thus suits many balustrade concepts.
X-TEND2 follows simple rules:
Stainless steel tubular frames in diameter 21,3mm x 2mm are pre-installed with a filling of X-TEND stainless steel cable mesh.
The tubular frames are available in rectangular shape as well as inclined for staircases, usually with an inclination angle of 29 to 37 degrees.
Specially shaped frames are possible on demand.
The corresponding fastening set facilitates the installation of the balustrade frames to posts, floor, wall or handrail.
The combination element can be moved in 2 directions and holds the frame with a U-bracket.
Boreholes in the stainless steel tubular frame are obsolete, so the system is modularily mountable on site.
X-TEND2 as a balustrade system has its origin in X-TEND mesh: the cable mesh consists of 1,5mm or 2mm stainless steel cables, combined with ferrules to different mesh widths.
X-TEND mesh diamonds of 40mm to 80mm are the most common ones.
The ground tubular frames of stainless steel (material AISI316Ti) are corrosion-resistant and suitable for longterm use even in exterior applications.
The reduction of the system to the basis components of framing plus mesh filling offers at the same time creative liberty to designers as well as a simple installation and formal clarity.
