Concept

The word Bogolan means “from the earth”. To begin, a simple cotton cloth, on which different symbols are traced in clay giving it its importance. The colours come from natural dyes : birch, indigo, grape skins. This african fabric, with large geometric patterns, has inspired Casamance to create this digitally printed panoramic wallpanel. This panoramic wallpanel coordinates with the Mahlangu fabric and accessories.
