Concept

Today, in collaboration with Pernette Perriand-Barsac, small changes have been made to make the Petit bureau en forme libre desk suitable for professional use. A cable passage positioned on the left-hand side of the desk top leads to a built-in power unit, sold separately, that features two USB sockets (type A+N and C) and a plug socket. The cable entry pocket cover is upholstered in black or tobacco coloured saddle leather, just like the optional, non-slip desk pad to protect the desk’s surface. A reinforcing metal structure has also been incorporated inside the wide, oval leg and two smaller cylindrical ones to guarantee further stability.
The solid Canaletto walnut version of the Petit bureau en forme libre particularly highlights the beauty of the desk’s natural materials and testimonies Cassina’s skill in wood craftsmanship. The desk is also available in matt lacquered wood in a variety of colours.
