Phasmida comes from the Ancient Greek φάσμα “phasma” meaning phantom or apparition. The Phasmatodea are an order of insects, whose members are variously known as stick insects, stick-bugs or walking sticks.
Christopher Boots bases his lighting on dreams, structure, nature and geometry. Phasmida is based on the study of growth patterns in nature such as tree branches, seaweeds, amino acids, and of course stick insects.
