Chopin Chaise Longue

Chaise longues from Comforty, Designed by Tomek Rygalik, Studio Rygalik

Product description

Concept

CHOPIN combines two separate pieces of furniture: an armchair and a chaise longue. Strong magnets hold them together.

The character and quality of contemporary interiors are often determined by one single element. It might be a piece of furniture, a work of art, or another accessory. However, it needs to attract attention, inspire admiration, or give tone to the surroundings. This is exactly what CHOPIN does. It always comes to the fore. It cannot be ignored. It is a sleek, distinctive piece of furniture which functions as a powerful element in an interior. Wherever it is placed, it will never recede into the background.

The name CHOPIN was the working title. It arose as an association between the asymmetrical form of the furniture and a grand piano – a monument to the pianist in the Warsaw’s Lazienki park – as well as with his famous hairstyle.
