Acapulco | Starburst

We are fascinated with the tradition “La Quebrada Cliff Dive” at Acapulco. Young men competed against each other to see who could dive from the highest point into the sea. On feast day of Virgin of Guadalupe, cliff divers jump into the sea to honour her. Diving end with the “Ocean of Fire”, the sea is lit with gasoline, making a circle of flame which the divers aims for.

This design depicts our imagination what the divers’ vision is, what they are going to see at the moment when they dive into the sea and the circle of flame.
