Product description
The refined design of the Clover chair features faceted upholstery, marking the front edge of the seat. Variations on the base and form assure that theres an appropriate version for every environment and application. Base options range from very contemporary four legs to polished aluminum with casters and tilt tension. And as part of a collection, Clover pieces can carry a thread of design continuity throughout a space that contains different functional environments.
Available with or without arms, the Clover Chair is constructed of multi-density polyurethane foam. There are four base options: a solid wood 4-leg base; a tubular stainless 4-leg steel base; a stainless steel, non-return swivel X-base; or a polished aluminum 5-star caster base with adjustable height, swivel, and tilt up to 16 degrees with a tension knob.

Concept
A collaboration between David Ritch and Mark Saffell at 5d Studio led to the Clover Collection. ÒWe always use the word Ôwe,ÕÓ Ritch explains. ÒBy the end itÕs so intertwined, we donÕt know who did what. If we always agreed, thereÕd be no reason to be partners.Ó Saffell confirms, ÒWhen it works, you move faster and you end up with a better design. In the case of the Clover Collection, the better design is the refinement of all details, from the bases to the uniquely faceted upholstery. Both Ritch and Saffel are please with the continuity of the collection, from seating to occasional tables, while every piece also stands on its own. ÒIt can be a thread that continues through the space and holds it together,Ó Saffell says; ÒSometimes in a large collection,Ó Ritch adds, Òit looks forced. But in Clover, all the designs are expressed in a very simple and easy fashion.
