The spare details of the Munich chair recall the International Style, a term coined in the 1930s to describe the American form of Bauhaus architecture that took root in New York. In that spirit, the Munich chairs straightforward rounded wood back and simple upholstered cushion provide welcome function without ornamentation. A hard maple frame made with mortise-and-tenon construction ensures lasting strength.

Side chair featuring an upholstered seat and a rounded wood back. The frame is hard maple, mortise-and-tenon and dowel construction, with corner blocking reinforcing legs and rails. Legs have nylon glides. The seat is 2 thick multi-density polyurethane foam wrapped in Dacron over webbing that is stretched over a hardwood plywood frame. Catalyzed lacquer finish in all Cumberland Maple finishes. Also available in an armless version.
