Shibori Stripe takes its inspiration from original artwork employing nui shibori, a stitch-resist form of the ancient Japanese shibori tie-dyeing technique. The apparent randomness of the design recalls the nature of the tie-dyeing process, but this is juxtaposed with the overall sense of structure provided by the symmetrical groupings of the color bands.

Digital printing technology captures the subtle color effects of natural dyes on cloth: in Shibori Stripe it evokes an almost dreamlike quality as the pattern is slightly diffused by the polyester suede surface, but retains color intensity. The addition of Crypton® enhances performance without diminishing the supple hand.
