Concept
Traditional, Italian, aristocratic families had an unfailing way of finding out what a guest’s manners were like at first sight. Once again, Philippe Starck sits at the work-table with Driade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand’s trend-setting business and etiquette, suggesting a slimming principle that will re-educate guests, teaching them to have perfect posture in a Driade context. Starck, rock & chic. “Lou Eat is not a chair, it is an animal-like sculpture that could eat you.” Philippe Starck. Lou Eat and Lou Speak, along with Lou Read, form the Lou Family, a seating collection that features plastic sculptural shapes. Lou Eat is the easiest and most versatile item in the collection, a chair upholstered in leather. Conceived as a dining room seat, it is also ideal as the sole protagonist of spaces.
