Yale
Sofas from Durlet, Designed by Sylvain Willenz
Product description
INSPIRED BY THE ARCHETYPAL IDEA OF PILLOWS - Sylvain Willenz was inspired by the typical form of cosy pillows to transfer it into an elegant and classic sofa with a modern touch.
Concept
Placing cushions against each other creates a sofa that is both something soft and comfortable, as well as balanced and not too imposing, nor too shy. In specific spots, the single and double stitching has been left intentionally exposed to add extra character.
Then again, the back and arm rests were made seamless to conjure up a softer overall look and feel, akin to a cushion. A webbed seat support and ingenious soft internal webbed backrest add extra comfort. The lumbar cushions ensure that you can sit in a well supported manner in every position. The black Y shaped steel feet were chosen to add a contrasting and reassuringly sturdy character to the sofa. .They also appear on the matching footstool and side tables and coffee tables.
